Apple-European red spider: It should be applied when an average of 8-10 live individuals are seen per leaf in periodic counts on 100 leaves from the beginning of May. Cotton-Red spiders: Controls are made when the plants have 4-6 leaves to determine the fighting time. If the pest is found only on the edge of the field or locally, BPU should be applied only to these parts. Application should be made when an average of 5 live red spiders are seen in the Mediterranean Region and 10 in the Aegean and Southeastern Anatolia Regions per leaf. If the population is widespread, at least 50 leaves are examined in the middle and lower parts of the plant to represent the field. If 15 or more spider mites are detected per leaf, the application is decided. It is applied immediately after fruit collection. Harvest should be done by paying attention to the time between the last application and harvest.
Tomato, eggplant, pepper and cucumber-Red spiders: When 20 leaves are counted per decare in tomatoes and peppers, an average of 3 leaves per leaf and 10 leaves per decare in cucumber and eggplant should be applied when an average of 5 live red spiders are seen per leaf. Ornamental plants-Leaf gallery fly: Application is started as soon as the first gallery signs are seen. If necessary, the application can be repeated. There should be at least 7 days between two applications. Strawberry-Two-point spider mite: Early application; An application should be made when red spiders are seen during the flower and green fruit period (before the first ripe fruits appear) in strawberry areas where red spiders are a problem every year. Early application is safer to prevent residue on fruits. Seasonal application; In cases where the early period application is not made, strawberries grown in the open are checked at 3-5 day intervals at the beginning of the season (late March-early April). Red spiders can be seen on strawberries in the surrounding plants at the beginning of the season. First of all, it is sufficient to control these plants and apply BPU. If the population is widespread, at least 50 leaves are examined in the middle and lower parts of the plant to represent the field. If 15 or more spider mites are detected per leaf, it is decided to apply BPU. It is applied immediately after fruit collection.
